Mar. 27th, 2007 12:31 pmMestre Fran teaches a mean capoeira class -- we started working out at this other gym, just off of Freedom Parkway, merging the little group that had been practicing at the kung fu school across the street from my house with the much larger group that had been already been working out at Trinity. There are some really talented capoeiristas here in Atlanta, it was pretty fabulous; we got really pumped up and flipped right out. And that's what I call real ultimate power.

- Singapore. It's an independent island city-state. They speak a bunch of languages. It's got this bustling economy, historically based on its location as a convenient trading spot between India and China.
- Singlish is an English-based creole spoken in Singapore. It has many discourse particles from Chinese and word-orderings that you might more often find in Asian languages.
