This living thing -- we're getting better at it!
I'm moving files around from old drives to new drives. This has provoked a fit of file-and-LJ archeology.
We're a lot less ridiculous now, as people. I mean, except for you. You were perfectly reasonable at 17 and 21, rest assured. Pfft. On the other hand, the people I know who are 17 or 21 right now, don't seem absurd in context. What I mean to say, I suppose: hooray for growing up.
Also! I emailed the guy from the statistics MS program. He replied "yeah prolly" to my "can i do this i know cs and i have a job". Well played, sir. Well played. A few of my coworkers have taken runs at MS programs while working at the Goog, and so far, the pattern seems to be that it's hard to do if you have a family and live out in the 'burbs. I, on the other hand, live really close and can do pretty much whatever I want with my time.
What if it's time to get some theoretical background for the machine-learning ruckus?
