lovely day!
Oct. 4th, 2009 10:30 pmToday, after sleeping in for a bit (late night, big hacking!), we got up, ate some pitas and veggie burgers, and then planned our Weekend Long Run.
We ended up going through some neighborhoods to our southeast, over past the mall, up to a nice trail east of campus, then through campus and out west to where 7th Street ends, and back. 14 miles! It felt really good, except we that we were pretty thirsty coming back in. Thankfully, Bloomingfoods was on the way back, and they didn't mind at all when we popped in to hydrate.
After running, we made our way over to a Chinese restaurant we'd never been to before: Peach Garden! It was super delicious. The Broccoli With Garlic was so garlicky. Importantly: they have a big metallic Buddha statue up by the front, which made me feel right at home. It's maybe 1/4th scale of the giant one at Chinese Buddha in Atlanta, which is to say it's still pretty huge.
When we got back home, we rocked the heck out. The show (in two weeks!) is going to be great.
And now: more hacking. Hope things are going well with you too :)
