It feels really, really strange to still have to deal with taking classes. Shouldn't I have been past this a few years ago? ...

That said, it was a huge weight off my shoulders to get the databases project done (enough) and turned in this past Thursday. That was not a shining example of good software practice :-\

I made a list of all the things I have to do between now and the end of the semester, and I'm knocking things off, one at a time. Tomorrow, I'm taking the database exam and picking up the take-home final for Syntax. And after that, it's just hacking on my Cool Verbs Project and grading for Mike.

Hey! So next semester, I can take a class that finishes off my breadth requirements and might be interesting, maybe, but is taught by a professor who gets, shall we say, mixed reviews. Or I can take a really neat-looking AI class that covers something I should know about but haven't ever really studied: learning algorithms that are symbolic rather than statistical. Thoughts?

(alternatively, you can pick something out for me here or here.)
