optimistic but too many eggs in one basket here

Gonna go to team tryouts to get hired back at that big Internets companyyyyyy.

... but honestly I'm feeling pretty good about this. I just need some good backup plans, because I'm way too emotionally invested in the actions of a large profit-driven corporation. Despite the fact that I love a lot of the people who work there.

My buddy JPR was saying that he got his offer like a full year before he was completely done with his PhD, and he finished it up before he started. I want the "8 months" version of that.

Backup plan #1: I somehow get investors to fund our research lab and let us hire like twelve more developers so Mike and I can bring up good MT systems for the world's under-served languages.
