oniugnip: more or less a bulleted list of semi-unusual internet happenings and announcements that I'm going to go do work now!

- Dr. Tran is the heartwarming story of a young boy from a village in southeast asia getting a square thwap across the face with the trout of western media culture. He says he's not really a doctor, but you'll have to be the judge of that. The first one is great, but my favorite is Dr. Tran in: Roybertito's! ¡This cheese is burning me! (watch for the Lucky Charms!)

- Elephant's Dream is this really interesting short film (rather calmer, with less shouting in Spanish) done as a community process... it's super-pretty, and it has mechanical birds flying all over the place. And this one room where the floor is typewriter keys that come up to meet people's feet where you're about to step. Also: maybe you can explain to me the plot.

- Aight, time for work!
