scottique reminds us all that there's more than one way to throw balls around. Greg Kennedy Tha Innovative Juggla has all sorts of neat routines that must've taken some pretty heavy geometry to design. Lots of them are on YouTube!
- Only one man can be the first in the US to get a Nintendo Wii. That man is Isaiah Triforce Johnson, and yes, he's sporting a Power Glove.
- William James says there's no consciousness. And his family (Henry Sr., Henry Jr, and Alice) were an interesting bunch, all pretty close to the hub of intellectual happenings around the previous turn of the century. Clever people often know each other.

Date: 2006-11-20 10:27 pm (UTC)If I can try and avoid building a strawman, it seems as if he's saying, "You are not standing in a forest! There are just a bunch of trees around you! That one is an elm, and that one a larch." Or perhaps, "You told me your dog is named Fido, but you don't actually own a dog. You own a clump of cells. The dog you claim to have is a careless illusion."
That's the only way by which I can imagine him coming to such a conclusion (with the caveat that I didn't give his essay a critical reading). Very often such "nature of thought" essays give me queasy feelings in my metonymy gland and denotation membranes.
