A post! Amazing!

I've been all full of energy recently. Optimism and activity. Working on stuff, putting together and releasing a new version of JES... those CS 1315 kids have a new major version to play with now, they'll be so excited :) We only had one horrible issue that needed fixing after the official release, heh! (but it's fixed now)
And I've been talking with Google. Have I mentioned this, O blogosphere? At first, it looked like I'd have to move to Mountain View (in the Yay Area!) or NYC to work for them, but it turns out that they're hiring at the Atlanta office right down the street. Apparently my first interview was pretty alright :) I don't want to get too fixated on or committed to them, though; there might be cooler or more interesting jobs around! We'll see. Options are open.
Also, I'm at lovely Lake Tahoe, right on the California/Nevada border, on the annual ski trip with the father. The whole hotel-casino thing had made me fairly uncomfortable in years past; lingering semi-ascetic tendencies, I suppose. It's interesting how (one's perception of) time sort of flows together when you do a similar trip repeatedly...

Date: 2007-01-15 06:02 am (UTC)(You're going to have to talk your dad into coming to a ski resort in Colorado one of these days. They're much better than any of the other resorts out there, at least when it comes to being-near-old-friends-from-high-school.)
