alexr_rwx- I'm graduating... the transition is going to be interesting this time. I haven't made formal plans to end any of my projects, which is a little disconcerting. I'ma have to hand things off to people, except probably the MS project, which we'll likely be working on for a few months. And I suppose I'm ambiently doing stuff for Mark "Tha Flava In Ya Earhole" Guzdial over the summer -- I'll be teaching at his camp again, at the very least.
- Conference papers from my project: shortpaper for Mobile HCI, fullpaper for ISWC.
Assuming they both get accepted, I now have: pubslist (length 2), a citation, and an Erdös number, at highest 6. I suspect it's lower than that.
- Jeebus, they're going to kill off my accounts. My keycards are going to stop working; I need to turn in my physical keys to things. I'm going to move all my stuff out from the lab... ... that's a weird feeling.
- And I got a drumset! It's electronic and MIDI! If you want to rock out, let's rock out! I'm not very good yet, but learning, and I made sure to get a double-bass pedal because I really wanted one. The thing I didn't account for is that the pedals slip across my hardwood floor... Miriam in her deep wisdom suggested putting a bathmat underneath.
It felt a little weird going in and buying the thing, in light of how I don't particularly know how to play drums yet, but -- it's something I always wanted to learn. So I'll learn. And I guess it wasn't that hard to justify. I'd been watching Metalocalypse! \m/

(your response: "I'm gonna make make make... some representations of complicated shapes in 3-space?" ... or am I not understanding this correctly?)
