"Go Learn You Some Machines"

I just left the very awesomest office.

Everybody had been really nice for the past few weeks, wishing me well and being huggy.

But! Today, at my last Friday Is Demo Day meeting, I walk into the room to find everyone wearing shirts with my picture on them. "Have you seen this person?", and then on the back "He's escaped!"

After Friday Is Demo Day, we had a TGIF, and there was a cake with that same picture. And after the party, when it was time to get Officially Exited (turn in my badge and my equipment and stuff), I had too much stuff to bring home on my bike (including 2/3 of the cake!), so Rajeev drove me home.

(backstory: for some reason, we were talking about having a 'fro, and I showed Miguel that picture. I'm told he's got a framed print on his mantel at home.)

Oh, I totally agree! When you find a real real real love, it has lost its value. No question. But I don't think this one was taken recently. In the past there was some significance. I'm very happy its lost its significance!!! Hope the party is lovely--this whole preaching every week makes me non-Saturday-night-social. Sorry.

I hope it's lovely too! Sadly, I'm not there -- I don't get to come down to Atlanta until Wednesday.

Alex is so awesome that he actually offered to change my plane ticket so that I could be there tonight, but I have too much stuff to do in the next three days, some of which is actually important.

It's now just a matter of days until we live together, though. I'm so excited!
