Today was sort of busy-ish and happy -- not a whole lot of Amazing Stuff has happened, but I've enjoyed it.

I got up, considered doing a morning run, decided that it'd be better to sleep for a bit more, and then hung around the house, reading and messing with my FSU configuration -- I moved the weight training class to the morning, instead of after the Linux Kernel class, so I could hang out in the lab afterwards, as I'll probably end up needing to do. My mother and myself went out to get bagels for an early-ish lunch (and the guy behind the counter was almost abnormally friendly -- he was asking about where I went to school, if I happened to know Brian B. -- who asks if you know Brian or not? I knew him in highschool, but... sort of a strange question) and then made my way over to FSU, did the kernel class (it was pretty cool -- we ended up sort of haphazardly talking about interesting things like the different levels of abstraction involved in having a modem set up doing PPP, which is actually more complex than you might think if you didn't know how Unices are set up...) and got my parking permit for the summer.

Techies... at FSU, it's Really Easy getting a parking permit. I asked, showed them my ID, and they just gave it to me. And now I can park. They have this gi-normous garage, multifloored, right near the CS/Math/Meteorology building, and I just go in before my class and park... it's great :) Tech's Parking Gestapo might could take note of this...

Hrum, after that, I went and picked up comic books (yay!), came home, hung around for a while, and ended up running from here to Lloyd's house, which would be about four miles, if you take the most direct route, but I ended up looping back around in a few places, trying to find the right roads to take, so I think I'll call it at least six. It felt quite nice :) He wasn't there, though, but I spoke with his family for a while, before my mother showed up to take me home... very nice of her :) I don't think I would have wanted to run there and back -- I probably could have, but it would have hurt. It's nice knowing that there's a trail that cuts through the woods from here to a few streets over, so one doesn't have to do any running on busy streets to get from here to there...

For tonight -- we're reading comic books and doing Linux homework. What an exciting life this is :)
