... many, many things...
Feb. 18th, 2003 11:43 pmI'm faced with a whole bunch of things coming due in the near future. Independently, they're all pretty well interesting, but it'd been rather scary, how all of these things are due right around the end of this week. Well, that, and there's the Combinatorics homework due tomorrow, which I'm now considering getting into...
Word on the street, though, is that apparently one of the projects (the S&N one) will be pushed back to the end of the weekend... so says a reliable source who apparently spoke with the head TA. I'm still nervous... if that's not the case, I'm either Quite Screwed, or maybe (best case scenario) not going to sleep at all 'tween now and Friday. Ideally that's the case, because otherwise, I'm just going to have to pick something to Not Do.
But this project for Practicum, which I've been working on with Mr. Will Clarke of the willclarke.net media empire, is coming along nicely -- we're making a filesharing system, and it's going to be called "R!" (as in pirates) and involve our new Big Red Button Technology(tm) (patent pending). This is kinda fun :) Also, I'm liking my Squeak group... we've got a bunch of clever people in it, and Daniel, whom I really didn't know beforehand, turns out to be a really on-the-ball sort of guy who's got the know-how and extroversion to be a Team Leader and help us Realize our Vision of Engineering Quality Software. It's just that the Quality Software we're Engineering is really pretty dull for the Squeak project. Ah well.
Go look at
eponis's most recent entry (as of 18 Feb) -- it's got some really excellent links in it, particularly the one that deals with kids and prisons, and the one about automatic weapons.
Okie, peace out, my homeslices -- I'm going to get some coffee and do combinatorics.
