sudden realizations
Jun. 20th, 2003 05:04 amThere's a particular feeling you get, when it's 0500 hours, and you're in the grad lab in the Love building at FSU, and you realize that Jamie Zawinski is an xawtv contributor, and then you realize that that's a really bizarre realization to be making at this particular time and place, and that it's even odder that you think it's important enough to make an LJ post about.
It's just that sort of night. But you know, I've got a full mug of coffee, and we've got a nice userspace application to talk to a v4l2 driver, and hopefully Brett and Gil are going to make their thing work with the whole direct mmap video streaming thing (much harder than what I've been doing -- they're writing a device driver while I'm futzing around with gtk and making documentation and whatnot) so we can make everything talk to everything else and be recognized as the Very Most Clever.
That's the plan, anyway :)
