thoughts for today?
Jun. 3rd, 2004 01:24 am- It shall be called spork, and nobody's going to like using it (except for me), but it will be interesting to put together, and as Strick's pointed out, everybody needs to build their own programming languages now and again. Purely functional and needlessly multithreaded, with LISPy syntax and lambdas if I'm feeling frisky and definitely something to give it the same feel as a nicely nondeterministic pushdown automaton (I'm working on Theory tonight, and getting glimpses into the future). Interpreted with the only statefulness in the world being your defuns as you go along. *laughs* Expect me to have it done soon after I finish and edit that nice translation of San Manuel Bueno, Mártir I've been meaning to do for the past n years.
- I'm a little sniffly and cough-y today, but that's alright :) Life is good, the people around me are wonderful, and there's no end of interesting stuff to work on. And we saw RENT yesterday evening, and it was lovely.
- I ran across Ozy and Millie today, having never really paid attention to it before, as a result of a link on
ayemaksicur's page... and then found this particular gem, which is spot-on. I think I like this Llewellyn character :)
- I'm trying out using Mozilla Thunderbird for mail, and it feels awkward using something with a graphical interface after all of these years of happy pure text :-\ We'll see how that goes. I may switch back.

falun's webserver project is holding up to vicious stress-testing.
- Most everybody reading this doesn't know Lindsey
rockstarling, but she just ran the Chicago Lakeshore Marathon on Monday. Congrambolations!
