pinging the internets!
Jun. 26th, 2007 05:12 pmMan, I haven't posted in a while. But I'm still here!
It has to do with my workdays being spent talking to kids about computers instead of sitting in front of one myself. I'm taking this week off, but for the previous three weeks, I've been with the childrens. I'll make you look at what they made at camp pretty soon, rest assured.
My paper was accepted! They turned down the other one (the reviews were fairly good, but apparently not good enough?) -- so now you can cite me in your scholarly work (Clawson, Rudnick, Lyons and Starner, 2007)!
I'm learning Haskell :) It's really pretty. Less pretty (momentarily) is my room, but that's on the fix...
Just a few weeks 'til I'm heading to California for my first week of Googlin'. And Martin is interviewing with the Goog in NYC today. (we're both going to stay in Atlanta for now, don't worry.)
Link: Dorothy Gambrell does other stuff aside from Cat and Girl! Particularly notable is very small array, her blog and repository of semi-useful but fully-interesting infographics on such topics as demographic breakdowns of orchestras and population density, people versus IHOPs.
Link: Indexed -- a blog entirely about infographics, cute little ones done on index cards. More entertaining than it might sound!
